China's ZTO Express, a package delivery company, has submitted a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission in the US to be listed on the NYSE with a planned IPO of over 1.5 billion USD (around 10 billion yuan), thepaper.cn reported on Tuesday.

The move follows China's other four major private delivering enterprises that have also been listed on the stock market. If successful, the firm will be traded on the NYSE by the end of October this year with a trading code of "ZTO".

 

ZTO Express's yearly volume of business and profit has witnessed a fast increase in recent years, according to the report. The yearly average increase rate of ZTO Express's business volume from 2011 to 2015 was 80.3 percent and 2.95 billion packages were delivered through ZTO Express in 2015, taking 14.3 percent of all the delivered packages in China that year.

 

It has a total asset value of around 1.76 billion USD (around 11.8 billion yuan) with around 260,000 employees, 23,000 delivering sites and over 3,300 delivering vehicles.

 

The report also noted that the operation revenue and net profit of ZTO Express in 2015 reached 6.1 billion yuan and 1.332 billion yuan respectively and its profit rate reached 15.4 percent, higher than most of its competitors.
